Before replacing an installed build
- Record the installed DAMAC version
- Download only from the intended release source
- Compare package name and signing certificate
- Confirm that the newer version code is actually higher
- Preserve any recovery information outside the app
Update in four steps
Check the new release
Verify the new APK metadata and checksum.
Keep the existing app
Do not uninstall first unless verified support instructions require it.
Install over the app
Open the checked APK and follow Android's update prompt.
Confirm after launch
Open DAMAC and review the version and expected device permissions.
